Dropping in!
Mostly, if there's a surfing community there's gonna be a ramp or a bowl somewhere nearby.

Since Kuta's popularity with travellers wholly started as a surfing destination there's plenty of ramps and bowls in and around town

The best place to start though is a new spot in town,
Tribe Skate Park and Resto, then go from there as there's always a skater around who knows all the secret spots.
Hoops, boasts, pivots?
Looking for some friendly competition and love your ball sports? Kuta has it all, organised by locals and expats alike, there are daily opportunities to join up and smash the f@*! out of balls of all sizes!

Tennis and Padel are available at Tampah Hills

Futsol is huge in Indonesia and there's a choice of pitches in and around Kuta Fusol Kuta has very good reviews and here's a Kuta Futsol WA group

Football around Kuta is mainly local village teams playing on makeshift pitches, be assured you can join in any game you wish :)

Volleyball To the West end of Tanjung Aan Beach there's always a match on, just turn up to play.

Badminton You can call it the national sport! Indonesia wins many international tournaments every year.

Camping, Glamping and Combis

In high season night time temperatures get down to the low 20s so sleeping in a tent or the open air is really comfortable, you may even get cold!

Camp sites are popping up everywhere and glamping setups are of course gaining traction too. Also on the increase is the popularity of motor homes and campers, there's even a van life community.

If you fancy something quite unique around Kuta you can rent a classic VW Combi camper, just
WhatsApp to get all the info and set off around the island stopping off at any of the amazing camp sites, or almost any spot you wish really, at the moment there's no laws against setting up camp anywhere :)
